Aunty Walda Blow is a proud Yorta Yorta woman from Cumeragunja (formerly mission) situated on the Murray River, North of Echuca. Ms Blow is known as Aunty Walda to the young Aboriginal women aged 15 to 20 who she works with at the Margaret Tucker Hostel for girls. She has spent 15 years working with one of Victoria's most vulnerable groups. Some of the women have babies or young children with them and many arrive suffering grief and trauma arising from family violence and/or sexual abuse.
